1000 months

my father-in-law is a teacher at wd muhammad school in atlanta.
he shared this idea with me one day,
and it was so enlightening i had to blog it:

Make a 1000-square grid, each square representing one month.
Put an X on your age.
1000 months is approximately 83 years and 4 months,
a little less than the female average life expectancy from birth in Japan and Hong Kong
– for males it is only 78.1 and 78.4 years respectively.
In the US, the average life expectancy is 79.8 and 74.4 years for women and men, respectively.
How much time have you wasted frivolously?
What do you want to do with the time you have left?

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power:
And what will explain to thee what the night of power is?
The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.
Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah’s permission, on every errand
