circling the entrance to the facebook black hole

ishaq had been all into facebook
for the past couple of weeks,
so i decided to check it out.

it was addictive
trying to find out if this or that friend was on FB,
or just being nosy trying to see who so-n-so knows.

but that isn’t the only addictive thing:
in addition FB has games,
doodling applications,
personality test,
get to know me questionnaires,
poker,
electronic public displays of affection (SO weird),
photo sharing,
and trillions of other ways to waste/spend time.

facebook should come with a disclaimer:
by logging into this application
you agree to funnel a disproportionate amount of your life
into a black hole, never to be regained.

how do people
do facebook,
myspace,
(as well as other social networking sites)
blog
AND live active, “normal” lives?

i try not to think how
someone whom i may not want to know my business
CAN
depending on how involved i get into
typing every detail of my life into a window on a computer screen.

kinda…like…now.

gotta go.
i need to invite my girl alicia to facebook.

;-)
