prophet shu’ayb
i was reminded by an islamica article
that i hadn’t put up picks from a side stop from one of our trips here in jordan.
we visited the prophet shu’ayb’s grave.
(called jethro in the bible)

a separate part of this masjid had his grave in it.

the hillside surrounding the masjid was beautifully rustic.

there were many caves in the hillside.
look for a small dark opening in the center of picture.

some bedoins or gypsies lived behind the masjid.

again, the islamica article does great justice
to the story of phophet shu’ayb (peace be upon him).
it is said that he was called “The Orator of the Prophetsâ€
by the prophet muhammad
(may God’s blessings and peace be upon him)
because of his exceptional eloquence.
