jordan update: bought the tickets!

it’s more real now.
we’ve been saying
“late november, early december”
since we last changed the date in september,
but now…
we bought the tickets!

we’ll be flying out if IAD to amman
with a layover in london-heathrow
on british airways.
the total time is about 18 hours.

i’m getting excited.

but then i think about how much i need to do to really get ready, e.g.:
immunizations,
pairing down my and the girls’ clothes to 2 suitcases each,
getting rid of/packing toys,
selling/donating the little furniture we have,
putting more stuff in storage,
and the tons of stuff i haven’t even thought of.

we’ve got a month!
and when i think of that i get so conflicted.
yay! only a month to go!
or is it: aagh! only month to go?
