volunteering as a family

i’ve been looking for opportunities
to share the joys of volunteering with my 3 year old.
in my own local search,
many charity organizations had age restrictions
which frustrated me a bit.
i think that even a 3 year old could help at, say, a soup kitchen.
s/he may not be in the kitchen preparing food,
but s/he can hand out a box of juice, utensil, or trays.

anyway, found this organization from my one of my favorite magazines, real simple.
