homeschool goal

i think it was from
The Homeschooling Handbook
by Mary Griffith
that she suggested writing down your goals for homeschooling.
i came up with this:

my goal in faciliting the education of my children
is for them to
have taqwa (fear, love, reverence, God-consiousness, piety) of Allah (swt);
love His Messenger, the Prophet Muhammad (saws), the Deen of Islam, and its ummah;
love their parents;
love themselves;
know themselves (strengths, weaknesses, talents, interests, and abilities); and
know their purpose and
how to put it into the best use in society
for their benefit in this world and in the hereafter
through whole-person development,
self-knowledge, and
independence
based on Islam and
the example of the Prophet (saws).
