never ask why you were pulled over. let them tell you.

heres what you do to make things easier on yourself and show a cop respect..

role down you window right away.
turn of the interior lights.
put your hands on the wheel.
say hello.

dont think "well?". it shows.

that he made you rip it off was screwed up though. but i suspect the cop has seen a lot of bang ups.

As your sister, I share your pain. No one should have to endure that sort of intimidation...

Police exist to protect and serve the citizens. Thus, they should treat us with common decency and respect at ALL times. A common violation is not a license for a police officer to be rude and condescending. Yes, they have a job to do, but they should strive to do it without compromising the integrity of the position.

I am glad that you were able to find peace within yourself and not allow the situation to escalate by feeding into his negativity.

Insha'Allah you will be rewarded.

Much Love and Respect,
Q

Phantomplate really should be against the law. It sounds like you are a responsible and sane driver Kori but there are a lot of nut cases on DC streets that run red lights all the time and don't care at all about the consequences. The intersection close to where I live (where there is also an assisted living facility and people in wheelchairs must cross the street) there are accidents quite often usually caused by jerks that think they have the right to run a red light because it's convenient to their schedule. No one in a wheelchair's been hit but I think it's a matter of time especially since they are not in a driver's line of sight. Sorry about your experience with the cop, though.

sarcasm: well, thanks, bin!

i'm not a red light runner.
i've got two kids i'd like to have around for as long as possible.
and i don't usually even drive my car.
but, i have a husband who, for example, is a member of allsports gp [http://www.allsportsgp.com/].

i DID think it was legal.
now i know it isn't.

that said,
i'm bidding on photoblocker [http://www.phantomplate.com/] spray on ebay
-- which the web site said
and an local channel 11 news reported is NOT illegal --
as we speak.

and i live in DC, so there.
