No one should have to endure that sort of intimidation... Police exist to protect and serve the citizens. Thus, they should treat us with common decency and respect at ALL times. Police exist to protect and serve the citizens. Thus, they should treat us with common decency and respect at ALL times. It sounds like you are a responsible and sane driver Kori but there are a lot of nut cases on DC streets that run red lights all the time and don't care at all about the consequences. The intersection close to where I live (where there is also an assisted living facility and people in wheelchairs must cross the street) there are accidents quite often usually caused by jerks that think they have the right to run a red light because it's convenient to their schedule. No one in a wheelchair's been hit but I think it's a matter of time especially since they are not in a driver's line of sight. Sorry about your experience with the cop, though.
