i saw the glidehouse (below) at the the green house exhibit at the NBM.

they built a full-size model of a small, modern house with minimal environmental impact.
the owner of one (in a video) bragged she hardly had to turn on the lights or A/C during the day.
besides the glidehouse
they had models and pictures of contemporary green buildings
for different environments (city, suburb, waterside, desert, etc.)
as well as samples of green products for the home
from tile to toilets.
