money maker: face painting
i’m gonna do it.
for eid or other children’s events.
i’m going to tap into my natural creativity
and do face painting
(and henna — more on that later).
low investment cost,
lots of fun,
make a few bucks…
at whatever event i am,
there seems to always be a line at the face painting table.
$5 a face
$3 a cheek
$2 a hand
i can do it.
i’m gonna do it, inshAllah.
i can practice on my daughter
who gets obsessed with face painting.
today at dance africa
she wanted to get her face painted
and she wanted a (in my opinion) silly little dollar store toy
that was probably being sold for 2 dollars too much –
whatever the price was.
i asked her to chose between the two and she chose face painting.
good choice.
what made it even better was that
the face painting was free
and for a cause: promoting a children’s program.
oh! sanaa did an impromptu solo during coyaba’s outside show.
i was SO surprised!
she was supposed to be going to sit with hadia
at the other side of the circle so she could see better.
she stopped at the edge of the solo circle instead.
i thought she was just going to watch.
next thing i know…sanaa!
i am amazed at her confidence
and shall try to encourage it.
