atlanta on my mind
spur of the moment
we went down to atlanta
to look for some homes.
i guess i thought we get down there
and be able to stretch a dollar a lot farther
in terms of square acreage
than we would in d.c.
we can,
but not as much as i’d hope.
we’re looking for 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a yard.
i like bungalows.

having a porch is important in the south.
ishaq likes them too,
but he also like ranches.
i can take either
as long as the inside is well done.
it would be great if we could find a nicely renovated home
near a park, library, community center and market.
should i put this request on craig’s list?
hmmm. that’s a thought.
the sweet auburn festival was on while we were down there.
note to self: been there. done that. had enough.
the vendors were overshadowed
by the crowd of people lookin’ to get digits.
it brought back memories though.
while searching for a parking space
we saw some entrepreneurial brothers
with a shopping cart that had a posterboard sign on it that said:
“white house security”
apparently they were going to keep cars
parked on the street safe from ner-do-wells.
i should’ve taken a picture,
but they probably would have charged me.
