the summer of two

sanaa,
inshAllah,
has been been having a great time this summer

so have i

i’ve been trying to expose her to the fun of summer
she’s been
swimming and skating,
had visits to the library and playground,
rides around the block on her tricycle,
has playdates with friends
and summer afternoons on the porch with popcicles;
she’s rode horses and lifts in west virginia and
saw the grand entrance at the national pow wow…
it’s been a great summer for her, i think

i’ve had plenty of fun seeing her experience these new things

she’s just about fearless
